DÉFINITIONS DES TERMES
Les définitions suivantes sont extraites du Titre 49 du Code des règlements fédéraux des parties 567.3, 568.3 et 571.3, selon l’indication. Les définitions canadiennes sont extraites des Règlements sur la sécurité des véhicules automobiles du Canada, de la Section 2(1), et sont en italique. Les définitions de Nissan sont données à titre d’information dans le but de cette publication seulement. Certains termes sont accompagnés d’une abréviation qui est utilisée dans l’ensemble de cette publication.
États-Unis
Capacité accessoire de réserve (ARC) – Représente le poids accessoire boulonné ou de modification qui peut être fixé en permanence à un véhicule certifié avant que son poids sans charge ne dépasse le poids sans charge prévu par Nissan dans le cadre de la norme FMVSS/ CMVSS. Les désignations de la capacité accessoire de réserve supposent l’utilisation de composants fixés en permanence, ce qui entraîne des centres de gravité généralement similaires à ceux de véhicules complétés comparables. Tout ajout ou toute signification qui affecte considérablement le centre de gravité de l’ensemble du véhicule peut imposer des conditions plus rigoureuses que celles prévues par Nissan dans le cadre du respect des exigences des normes FMVSS et CMVSS.
Centre de gravité (CG) – Centre de masse d’un corps ou d’un système.
Véhicule complet – Un véhicule qui ne nécessite pas d’autres opérations de fabrication pour effectuer sa fonction prévue, à l’exception de l’ajout de pièces à montage rapide comme les rétroviseurs ou les pneus et leurs jantes, ou de travaux de finition mineurs comme la peinture. (49CFR568.3)
Poids à vide – C’est le poids d’un véhicule automobile muni d’équipement de série et portant sa pleine capacité de carburant, d’huile et de liquide de refroidissement de moteur et, selon l’équipement du véhicule, le poids de tout climatiseur ainsi que le poids supplémentaire d’un moteur en option. Module de commande du moteur (ECM) – L’ECM comprend un micro-ordinateur et des connecteurs pour l’entrée et la sortie des signaux ainsi que pour l’alimentation. L’ECM commande également le moteur.
Poids technique maximal combiné (PTMC) – La valeur spécifiée par le constructeur comme le poids en charge d’un véhicule combiné. (49CFR571.3)
Poids nominal brut du véhicule (PNBV) – La valeur spécifiée par le constructeur comme le poids en charge d’un seul véhicule. (49CFR571.3)
Sonde d’oxygène chauffante HO2 – Sonde derrière le catalyseur trifonctionnel (collecteur) qui contrôle le niveau d’oxygène dans le gaz d’échappement sur chaque groupe.
Lampes, dispositifs réfléchissants et équipement connexe – Dispositif lumineux monté sur un véhicule à usages multiples, un camion ou un autobus et qui facilite l’entrée et la sortie des passagers et le chargement ou le déchargement d’objets.
Charge maximale – Poids maximal admissible qui peut être placé dans le véhicule, y compris le chauffeur, les passagers et l’équipement de marché secondaire. La valeur est réduite en ajoutant l’équipement optionnel.
Système de sièges – Siège pouvant être adapté selon différentes configurations.
SgRP – Pointe de hanche théorique utilisée par les fabricants lors de la conception d’un véhicule. Plus particulièrement, il décrit la position relative de la pointe de hanche du mannequin assis lorsque le siège est réglé à la position la plus reculée et la plus basse. Aussi connu sous le nom de « R-point » (point de repère).
Commutateur des feux d’arrêt – Un commutateur alimenté électriquement qui envoie un signal au module de commande de carrosserie (BCM), pour allumer les lampes d’arrêt, lorsque la pédale de frein est enfoncée.
