SERVICE INFORMATION
If a 2000 Frontier Crew Cab exhibits a drone noise inside the vehicle during warm-up as the engine speed slowly drops down through 1,000 RPM, use the service procedure listed below to resolve the incident.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Install the dymanic damper on the exhaust bracket and tighten the damper mounting nuts to 13 N-m (1.3 kg-m, 9 ft-lb). Refer to Figure 1 below.
NOTE: The nuts for mounting the damper are already on the vehicle (i.e., on the exhaust bracket).
