The information contained within this supplement updates the following information in the 2020 NISSAN
Leaf Owner’s manual.
In “APPROACHING VEHICLE SOUND FOR PEDESTRIANS (VSP) SYSTEM” in the “EV Overview” section of the Owner’s manual.
Please read carefully and keep in the vehicle.

APPROACHING VEHICLE SOUND FOR PEDESTRIANS (VSP) SYSTEM
The Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians (VSP) system is a function that uses sound to alert pedestrians of the presence of the vehicle when it is being driven at a low speed.
When the vehicle starts to move, it produces a sound.
The sound stops when the vehicle speed is more than 25 mph (40 km/h) while accelerating.
WARNING
- If the sound cannot be heard, pedestrians may not notice the oncoming vehicle,which may cause an accident resulting in serious injury or death. It is recommended that you immediately visit a NISSAN
certified LEAF dealer for VSP system inspection. - If the VSP system OFF warning light illuminates while the power switch is in the ON position, or in the READY to driveposition,itmayindicatetheVSP system is not functioning properly. Have the VSP system checked. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
certified LEAF dealer for this service. For additional information, refer to “Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians (VSP) system OFF warning light” in the “Instruments and controls” section of this manual.
NOTE:
The volume of the (VSP) sound cannot be raised or lowered.

SYSTÈME D’ALERTE SONORE DE VÉHICULE EN APPROCHE POUR PIÉTONS
Le système d’alerte sonore de véhicule en approche pour piétons est une fonction qui utilise le son pour prévenir les piétons de la présence du véhicule lorsque la vitesse du véhicule est basse.
Lorsque le véhicule commence à déplacer, un son est émis.
Le son s’arrête lorsque la vitesse du véhicule est supérieure à 40 km/h (25 mi/h) pendant l’accélération.
Le son commence lorsque la vitesse du véhicule est inférieure à 35 km/h (22 mi/h) pendant la décélération.
AVERTISSEMENT
- Si le son n’est pas audible,les piétons peuvent ne pas remarquer que le véhicule approche, ce qui peut provoquer un accident et entraîner des blessures graves ou mortelles. Nous vous recommandons de vous rendre immédiatement chez un concessionnaire NISSAN

SISTEMA DE SONIDO DE APROXIMACIÓN DE VEHÍCULO PARA PEATONES (VSP)
El sistema de sonido de aproximación de vehículo para peatones (VSP) es una función que utiliza sonido para alertar a los peatones de la presencia del vehículo cuando está siendo conducido a baja velocidad.
Cuando el vehículo comienza a moverse, produce un sonido.
El sonido se detiene cuando la velocidad del vehículo es superior a 40 km/h (25 MPH) mientras acelera.
El sonido comienza cuando la velocidad del vehículo es inferior a 35 km/h (22 MPH) mientras desacelera.
ADVERTENCIA
- Si el sonido no se puede escuchar, los peatones podrían no percatarse del vehículo que se aproxima, lo que puede causar un accidente teniendo como resultado lesiones graves o fatales.Se recomienda que visite inmediatamente a un distribuidor certificado NISSAN
