INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary safety recall campaign on certain specific model year 2023-2024 Z vehicles to torque the Left Front Bumper Clip fixing screws. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealer’s responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer’s inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed. 2/7 NTB23-082 SERVICE PROCEDURE To avoid the risk of death, severe personal injury, or Front Radar Sensor realignment, do not disturb the Front Radar Sensor during this repair. 1. Remove the Front Bumper Fascia from the vehicle.  Refer to the ESM: BODY EXTERIOR, DOORS, ROOF & VEHICLE SECURITY > EXTERIOR > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT BUMPER > Removal and Installation  To help prevent any contact with the Front Radar Sensor, move the Front Bumper Fascia straight outward when removing it from the vehicle.  Apply protective tape in the areas suggested in the ESM procedure.  Follow all ESM Cautions and Notes. Raise and suitably support the vehicle on a lift. 4. Remove the E27 – E154 SMJ Connector retainer bolt. E27 – E154 SMJ Connector Bolt 4/7 NTB23-082 Figure 5 Figure 6 Figure 7 5. Remove the Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer.  Remove the Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer retaining bolt.  Disconnect the Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer electrical harness connector. 6. Remove the Horn Low.  Remove the 10 mm Horn Low retaining bolt.  Disconnect the Horn Low electrical harness connector. Locate the Left Front Bumper Clip.  The Left Front Bumper Clip is attached to the bottom of the Left Front Combination Lamp. 8. Using an in.-lb torque wrench, torque the three (3) Left Front Bumper Clip Fixing Screws.  Left Front Bumper Clip Fixing Screw torque: 1.5 N•m (0.15 kg-m, 13 in.-lb) Left Front Bumper Clip Left Front Combination Lamp Left Front Bumper Clip Left Front Bumper Clip In.-lb torque wrench 6/7 NTB23-082 Figure 11 Figure 12 Figure 13 9. Install the Horn Low.  Horn Low retaining bolt torque: 10.0 N•m (1.0 kg-m, 89 in.-lb)  Connect the Horn Low electrical harness connector. 10. Install the Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer.  Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer Retaining Bolt torque: 10.0 N•m (1.0 kg-m, 89 in.-lb)  Connect the Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer electrical harness connector. 11. Install the E27 – E154 SMJ Connector Retainer bolt.  E27 – E154 SMJ Connector Retainer bolt torque: 10.0 N•m (1.0 kg-m, 89 in.-lb) Horn Low Horn Low retaining bolt Bolt Intelligent Key Warning Buzzer E27 – E154 SMJ Connector Bolt 7/7 NTB23-082 12. Reinstall the Front Bumper Fascia to the vehicle.  Refer to the ESM: BODY EXTERIOR, DOORS, ROOF & VEHICLE SECURITY > EXTERIOR > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FRONT BUMPER > Removal and Installation 13. Lower the vehicle and remove it from the lift.
