See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/5 VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN 2017 ROGUE; WIRE HARNESS INSPECTION CAMPAIGN ID #: PC918 APPLIED VEHICLES: 2017 Rogue (T32) Check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History to confirm campaign eligibility. INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary safety recall campaign on certain specific model year 2017 Rogue vehicles, to inspect the body wire harness. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PC918 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealer’s responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer’s inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed. 2/5 NTB22-086 INSPECTION OVERVIEW Use Service Comm (Campaign ID # PC918) to confirm the vehicle you are working on is affected by this campaign END Release vehicle. Email photo of the wire harness connector branch. Inspect for tape on the B42 wire harness connector branch. Tape present full length of wire harness branch. Tape not present, or only a short strip is present. 3/5 NTB22-086 SERVICE PROCEDURE Inspection 1. Remove the driver (LH) side inner front kicking plate.  Refer to the ESM: BODY INTERIOR > INTERIOR > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > BODY SIDE TRIM > KICKING PLATE 2. Remove the driver (LH) side dash side finisher.  Refer to the ESM: BODY INTERIOR > INTERIOR > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > BODY SIDE TRIM > DASH SIDE FINISHER IMPORTANT: Do NOT disconnect the M74/B42 wire harness connector. 3. While leaving the M74/B42 wire harness connectors connected, disengage the connectors from the connector bracket by pulling in the direction shown (Figure 1). Carefully pull the wire harness away from the body and inspect the B42 wire harness connector branch for tape that runs the full length of the wire harness branch.  If the tape does NOT run the full length of the wire harness branch, as shown in Figure 2, no further action is needed. Skip to step 6 on page 5 for reassembly.  If tape is present and runs the full length from the connector to the body wire harness, as shown in Figure 3, continue to step 5. o One strip of tape on the wire harness branch is OK. o Foam on the M74/B42 wire harness connectors is OK. If tape is present on the length of the wire harness branch, as shown in Figure 3, take a clear photo and send it in an email to FQA_Inspection_support@nissan-usa.com with the following information:  Email Subject PC918 2017 Rogue Wire Harness  Dealer Code  VIN  Contact Name  Contact Email Address  Contact Phone Number NOTE: The email and photo will serve as notification to Nissan in the event an NG condition is found. No further action is required in this case and the vehicle can be returned to the customer. While leaving the M74/B42 wire harness connectors connected, engage the connectors into the connector bracket by pushing in the direction shown (Figure 4). Figure 4 7.
